When you see a post on Facebook or another platform from Target you know immediately. You don’t even need to see who posted just a quick glance at the imaging and style of the post tells you. Many, many companies use this branded post strategy and I recommend it to my clients.
Why? Because your followers, your clients, your customers, your tribe, your fans are looking for you. And when these same people share your content, your post, you want to be clearly identified with it so you can grow more clients, customers, tribe member, and fans.
What do branded posts mean? It’s a combination of the use of your brand colors, your brand fonts, your logo or other identifiers along with a post style that allows for quick identification that links this post with your business. It’s a tool that helps you get noticed.
Does that mean that every post looks the same? No, but your posts will have a similar and familiar look to them. It may be how the image in your post is used or how the text is displayed. It’s the use of your brand colors in a way that is pleasing and connects back to your business. Maybe your brand colors are muted or intensified on a post but there is a familiarity to the visual. The location of your logo, business name, and/or website address discretely placed further connects your business to the post. Then the type of content that you share specifically identifies to your business, your services or products.
In addition to the visual branding of your posts, you’ll also need to consider the type of content you are sharing. But, hey, that’s another story!
